This six person tent is exceedingly quick to erect, having only four poles to the main outer structure. To make life even easier, this tent comes with Tension Straps which are located at the pole sleeves down the bottom of one side of the tent. These tension straps may be loosened to allow easy insertion of the poles into the pole sleeves and to the pins at the base of the tent. When the tent is fully erected, the Tension Straps should be tightened to help keep the tent fabric tight and secure. There is also another clever addition to this tent. There is a lightweight but sturdy internal pole (adjustable for ease of insertion, of course) which run horizontally down both sides of the tent. This provides exceptional stability to the tent, which makes assembly of the tent in windy conditions so much easier.
The two separate bedroom pods, sometimes called 'inner tents', have sewn in groundsheets, ensuring the sleeping areas remain a completely dry and 'creepy crawly free' zone. Additional bug protection for the bedrooms comes in the form of double skin doors, one of which is mesh and may be used on its own as an excellent fly screen as well as providing good ventilation for its sleeping inhabitants. The second door to the bedroom pods helps keep the bedroom free of draughts on chillier nights, as well as providing privacy from anyone still using the living area.
The living area is definitely the main feature of this tent. It is tall enough for most adults to stand and walk around in very comfortably. There is a large groundsheet provided to completely cover the communal area. This is provided as an optional extra as not everyone likes a groundsheet down all day every day. People with dogs, or those entering the tent on a wet day may prefer to walk into a grass floor which will easily absorb dirt and water. However, if it rains heavily, the groundsheet should be laid down inside the tent to provide protection to your belongings from heavy rainfall seeping through the bottom of the tent.
This is a really flexible tent, allowing you an individual bedroom for adults and one for children, or a room each for two couples.
Optional living area groundsheet included which can be pegged down which is to 100% PE

*Rain resistance is measured as a hydrostatic head in millimetres (mm). This indicates the pressure of water needed to penetrate a fabric. Heavy or wind-driven rain has a higher pressure than light rain. Standing on a groundsheet increases the pressure on any water underneath. Fabric with a hydrostatic head rating of 1000 mm or less is best regarded as shower resistant, with 1500 mm being usually suitable for summer camping. Tents for year-round use generally have at least 2000 mm.
**Many tent manufacturers indicate capacity by such phrases as "3 berth" or "2 person". These numbers indicate how many people the manufacturer thinks can be fit snugly into a tent with just sleeping bags. These numbers do not allow for any personal belongings, such as luggage, inflatable mattresses, camp beds, cots, etc., nor do they allow for people who are of above average height. Checking the quoted sizes of sleeping areas reveals that several manufacturers consider that a width of 150 cm (5 feet) is enough for three people — snug is the operative word. Experience indicates that camping may be more comfortable if the actual number of occupants is one or even two less than the manufacturer's suggestion.
